Welcome to the Greensboro Division Ceremonial Guard. Our Ceremonial Guard is comprised of two exhibition elements and two unit sections. Our first element consist of a four man armed drill team. Our second element consist of a four man color guard. Each element will be comprised of the four most outstanding cadets from each section and are the model and face of the Greensboro Division Ceremonial Guard.
The team will drill Thursday nights from 1800 until 2000 at the Navy Operational Support Center in Greensboro on McCloud Road. From time to time we will drill in various other locations. You will be notified of the location at the prior drill or on the team website. The armed drill team will use a replica M-1 Garand drill rifle weighing in at 8.5 pounds. The color guard will use a replica 1903 Springfield drill rifle weighing in at 4 pounds.
The teams will be divided into two sections & two elements, First Section, First Element, Second Section, and Second Element. First Element will be comprised of the cadets who have earned a position on the armed drill team thru their commitment, dedication, and skills in armed drill. Our presentation team for the time being will consist of 4 outstanding cadets. Second Element will be comprised of cadets who have earned a position on the Color Guard. Our presentation team for the time being will consist of 4 outstanding cadets. First Section will consist of cadets performing armed drill. Second Section will consist of color guard cadets. Each section will also consist of cadets who are learning and perfecting their respective drill.
